Role Overview

The Account Executive (AE) is a key driver of Krista.ai’s growth, responsible for acquiring new business and expanding our customer base. This role manages the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualifying leads to delivering compelling product demonstrations and closing new logos. The ideal candidate is a motivated, tenacious, and strategic sales professional with a passion for technology and a proven ability to guide prospective clients through a complex buying journey. As an AE, you will be on the front lines, evangelizing the power of AI-driven automation and helping businesses solve their most critical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Sales Management

  • Own and manage the entire sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Consistently build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for target accounts to drive revenue.

Prospecting & Opportunity Development

  • Proactively identify and engage potential clients in target markets through strategic outreach and networking.
  • Qualify inbound leads and collaborate with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and Marketing to build a robust sales funnel.
  • Navigate complex organizations to identify key decision-makers and influencers.

Consultative Selling & Demonstrations

  • Act as a trusted advisor to understand the unique business challenges and goals of prospective clients.
  • Clearly articulate the Krista.ai value proposition and conduct tailored product demonstrations that align our solution with their specific needs and desired business outcomes.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, quotes, and contracts.

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Maintain meticulous records of all sales activities and opportunities in our CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to sales leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in a closing role within B2B enterprise software or SaaS sales.
  • A consistent and documented track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle for complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with C-level executives, IT leaders, and business stakeholders.
  • A self-starter attitude with a high level of drive, resilience, and organizational skills.
  • Technical aptitude to understand and clearly explain the benefits of an AI and automation platform.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience selling AI, workflow automation, low-code/no-code platforms, or related enterprise solutions.
  • Background in a consultative sales methodology (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, Value Selling).
  • Proficiency with modern sales tools, including Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and sales engagement platforms (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft).
